Run your task queue from the keyboard

Mellavi treats shortcuts as the primary workflow, not an accessory. Capture, navigate, order, focus, and finish work without repeatedly changing input modes.

The keyboard works when it behaves like a system

Keyboard-first design is useful only when the commands form a predictable system. In Mellavi, arrows follow the visual axes, task movement uses the same direction with a modifier, and actions return focus to a known place. You should not need to remember where the cursor disappeared.

Mouse controls mirror the same operations, but frequent work is designed to remain under your hands.

Capture stays close: N adds a task to the active category, while Shift+N creates a category when the work belongs somewhere new. Arrow keys move through the layout in the direction shown on screen, and the first task in each category remains its current focus.

The same spatial logic carries into ordering. Cmd/Ctrl+Shift with the task-axis arrow moves a task or contiguous selection; P promotes the active task directly to the first position; F opens the active category’s first task in a full-screen execution view; and Space requests completion. Mellavi keeps queue changes and completion undoable.

The point is not to memorize more shortcuts. It is to make the same spatial idea work everywhere.

Speed still needs a way back

Speed should not turn an accidental keypress into lost work. Completion and deletion use compact confirmation steps, and state-changing operations participate in undo and redo. Mellavi optimizes the repeated path while keeping destructive intent explicit.

The Product act on the home page is a contained demonstration: N adds a sample task, Space advances the queue, and F previews focus mode. Leaving the act resets it, so experimentation never changes your actual task data.
