Why Mellavi exists

Mellavi is an independently built product from India. The project is deliberately small and product-led: its public identity comes from the product, its behavior, and the decisions documented here.

Many task tools are excellent records and poor starting points. They can hold every project, label, deadline, view, and status while still asking you to scan the whole system before beginning.

Mellavi is built for the moment after planning. Each category owns an order; the first task is current; everything else is deliberately secondary.

What we are protecting

• A useful answer should be visible immediately.
• Frequent actions should remain keyboard-accessible and spatially predictable.
• Task content should begin on the device, without an account requirement.
• Completion and deletion should be intentional and recoverable.
• Themes and motion may add character, but never at the cost of clarity.

Built in India, still early

The IND / 2026 mark on the landing page records the project’s origin and launch year. Mellavi is an early independent product: local use is available, while paid encrypted sync is still being evaluated. The site avoids testimonials, customer counts, security certifications, and guarantees that do not yet exist.

The standard

Mellavi should earn trust through product behavior and precise language. If a feature is proposed, it is labeled as proposed. If local storage has a limitation, it is stated. If a simpler interaction is possible, the extra UI has to justify itself.
